This whipped coffee sensation, which went viral during the lockdown, is not only beautiful to look at but also incredibly easy to make. Whether you prefer it cold over ice or warm and cozy in a mug, this recipe using Agaate Instant Coffee will give you café-style results right at home.

What is Dalgona Coffee?

Dalgona Coffee originated in South Korea and became globally popular thanks to TikTok and Instagram. It’s a frothy, sweet coffee mixture spooned over milk — essentially turning your average instant coffee into a creamy, cloud-like masterpiece.

Ingredients

Agaate Instant Coffee  - 2 tablespoons

Granulated Sugar          - 2 tablespoons

Hot Water                          - 2 tablespoons

Milk                                      - 1 cup (hot or cold)

Ice Cubes                          - (optional)As needed

Garnish                              - (optional)Cocoa, cinnamon, or syrup

Step-by-Step Recipe

Add & Mix in a mixing bowl, combine:

  • 2 tbsp Agaate Instant Coffee

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp hot water

Use freshly boiled water for best results. The heat helps dissolve the coffee and sugar evenly, giving a smoother texture.

Whip It Good!
Using a hand mixer, beat the mixture on high speed for 2-3 minutes until it becomes:

  • Light brown

  • Creamy and fluffy

  • Holds soft peaks

If you're whisking by hand, it may take 8–10 minutes and a lot of elbow grease, but it works just as well!

Prepare Your Milk Base
Cold Dalgona:

  • Fill a tall glass with ice.

  • Pour cold milk over the ice (around 1 cup).

Hot Dalgona:

  • Heat milk until just below boiling.

  • Pour into a coffee mug.

Spoon the Whipped Coffee
Carefully spoon the whipped Dalgona mixture over the milk.
You can leave it floating on top for that layered effect or swirl it slightly for a marble look.

Garnish & Enjoy!
Top it off with:

  • A dusting of cocoa or cinnamon powder

  • A drizzle of caramel or chocolate syrup

  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles
